Watch replay: Minnesota Star Tribune feature writers share tales from the front lines of the ICE surge
On Feb. 12, the Trump administration announced that it would end its deployment of immigration agents to Minnesota. That same day, SFJ hosted a webinar with Minnesota Star Tribune features journalists who have spent more than two months covering the chaos on the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Allie Shah, the Star Tribune’s Food & Culture Deputy Editor, moderated the discussion with feature writer Reid Forgrave, Minnesota Life columnist Laura Yuen and Food and Drink reporter Sharyn Jackson.
The journalists shared their processes for finding unexpected human angles in their coverage and for coping with ongoing, relentless stress on the job.
The replay is available below and on our YouTube channel.
